Clearing Fence Line and Prepping for Pigs!
I am so glad to be sending our first newsletter; thank you for coming along this journey with us! Please share the letter with any friends or family who might like to be subscribed.
Check out some rock blasting video and drone footage links at the bottom!
We've had health, rain and permitting delays, but are pressing forward. Check out the new tractor that can handle our heavy woods! We have nearly finished clearing our first fence line, a task I wasn’t sure we’d ever complete. (#girlmeetsfarm)
The trees are taken down by chainsaw, broken down, and cleared out.
God has been good; during a time where I had felt overwhelmed and out of sorts, we had so many trees, limbs, and debris to clean up, not much different than how my mind felt. While leaning on Him to clear the maze in my own mind, we were finally able to stand at the end of both fence lines and see a clear path. I was blessed with such a visible reminder that sometimes what seems insurmountable really takes time, hard work, persistence and faith.
Clear sight lines.
We hope to install our fence in the next couple of weeks and will welcome our first pigs soon. We’re getting some help with our first install from a born-and-bred-real-time-farmer; thank goodness! We’ll let you know how it turns out!
Burn piles for all the debris and trees removed.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12
